There’s a geyser in Nevada that’s been spewing water continuously since someone drilled a well over 50 years ago.
This geyser was created as a mistake!
In 1916 a well was needed in Washow County, Nevada. The well was drilled and functioned properly for decades until 1960.
Heated water from within the earth found a weak spot in the well’s wall and began to escape. Fly Geyser had began to form. The geyser you see comes from dissolved minerals that began rising and piling up. It is five feet high and is still growing. The geyser constantly squirts water 5 feet into the air! Almost 100 years later this man made geyser is now a popular tourist attraction. (Source)
