Charles “Pretty Boy” Floyd Was A Robin Hood of His Time, Despite Robbing Banks!
Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd was an American gangster up until 1934.
He had his operation station in the midwest and was also known for his criminal past of robbing banks of their money, but that wasn't the only thing he stole.
He would also steal mortgage papers to local farms to free them of their debts.
Was he a good guy at heart? A true Robin Hood, of course.
Local citizens didn't see him as a threat, but more as a hero. When he escaped prison, he was then fatally shot in Clarkson, Ohio by policemen in a cornfield and under an apple tree at the age of 3.
He was formerly declared "Public Enemy #1" by the local officials.
He was seen as another victim of the Great Depression by his fellow citizens.
The notorious Charles Floyd then influenced a number of video games including Team Fortress 2, music, comics and films for decades afterwards.
